Arnold Spencer-Smith
Spencer-Smith Window Fund
Donations are now being received for the window in honour of the Rev. Arnold Spencer-Smith (1883-1916), chaplain and photographer to Sir Ernest Shackleton’s Ross Sea Party.
This project has the support of the Scott Polar Research Institute at the University of Cambridge:
‘Arnold Spencer-Smith’s sacrifice in the hostile wastes of Antarctica so that others might live remains a powerful lesson to us all, over one hundred years later. The design for the Spencer-Smith memorial window is most appropriate and I commend this excellent project.’
Prof. Julian Dowdeswell, Director of the Scott Polar Research Institute, University of Cambridge
