You are warmly invited to our weekly services and activities at 786 Cumberland Street, North Dunedin.
8:00am – Mass
10:30am – High Mass, Sunday school for children. Combined Family Mass each month.
8:00pm – Taizé Prayer
11:30am – Association of Anglican Women, first Tuesday of the month.
4.00pm – Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for children aged 4-9
9:30am-11am – Baby & Toddler group in the Front Hall
5:30pm – Evening Mass
Our Mass services consist of traditional liturgy, scripture readings, and sharing the Eucharist (Holy Communion). Taizé prayer in the evening consists of singing songs from the Taizé community, centered around contemplative prayer. After services we usually meet for fellowship and Fair Trade tea & coffee in the Back Hall beside the church.
During the Sunday 10:30am Mass, children participate in the first part of the liturgy, then go the hall for their own programme focussing on the Gospel of the day. They return to the church to receive Holy Communion with their families. Once a month there is a combined Family Mass with an emphasis on children’s participation throughout the Mass.
The Wednesday 5:30pm Evening Mass has lots of variety throughout the month. The first Wednesday is the usual Eucharist, the second Wednesday the Eucharist in French, the third Wednesday with prayers for healing and anointing with oil, and the fourth Wednesday the Eucharist in German.
Each Tuesday in term time at 3:45pm the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is offered for children aged 4-9, which uses a Montessori approach to religious education, and meets in the Sunday school room in the Back Hall.
The All Saints’ branch of the Association of Anglican Women meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 11.30am.
